Designing a Daily Release Rhythm for Campus Website Governance

A daily content pipeline becomes an Information System Management lesson when students can trace policy, approval, quality gates, and service continuity through a real GitHub-to-Cloudflare workflow.

Daily publication is not only a marketing tactic. In academic service contexts, it can be treated as a governance exercise that forces teams to make release policy visible.

Why this workflow matters

In this lecturer website, new content does not jump directly to production. A scheduled GitHub Actions workflow publishes one queued article, opens an automated pull request, and lets the review gate merge only after validation succeeds. That sequence makes release ownership auditable rather than informal.

What students should inspect

Ask students to map the control points in the workflow:

  1. queued content waiting in the repository,
  2. scheduled publication at a defined time,
  3. automated pull-request review and approval,
  4. validation and build checks on main,
  5. deployment to Cloudflare Pages and Worker rollout at the edge.
