AI Evaluation and Guardrail Studio: 2026-07-26

A class-ready Artificial Intelligence activity with a scenario, evidence checklist, student deliverable, and assessment rubric.

This daily teaching update is published to https://hicall.web.id/blog/2026-07-26-ai-evaluation-and-guardrail-studio and turns one lecturer pillar into a practical class activity students can run, inspect, and explain.

Learning objective

Students learn to connect Artificial Intelligence concepts with observable evidence, not just opinions or generic summaries. By the end of the session, each group should be able to show one artifact, explain its meaning, and recommend a realistic improvement.

Teaching focus

Topic: Artificial Intelligence
Studio: AI Evaluation and Guardrail Studio
Angle: Prompt quality, model-risk checks, and human review loops

Scenario

A campus digital service needs review before the next improvement cycle. Student teams act as reviewers who collect proof, interpret the finding, and write a decision note for a service owner.

Classroom flow

  1. Frame the case: define the service, user, expected outcome, and risk.
  2. Capture evidence: collect screenshots, response data, packet traces, decision logs, rubric notes, or model-evaluation records.
  3. Interpret carefully: explain what the evidence proves and what remains uncertain.
  4. Recommend one action: propose a guardrail, monitoring step, review checkpoint, or service improvement.
  5. Verify the next step: define how the class would know whether the action worked.

Student deliverable

Students submit a one-page evidence note with:

  • service or case reviewed,
  • observed artifact,
  • interpretation,
  • risk or limitation,
  • recommended next action,
  • owner or stakeholder,
  • and next verification step.

Assessment rubric

  • 2 points: case is clear and relevant.
  • 2 points: evidence is specific and observable.
  • 2 points: interpretation follows from the evidence.
  • 2 points: recommendation is practical.
  • 2 points: limitation and next verification step are included.

Lecturer note

Use this update as a repeatable teaching block for Information System Management, Communication Protocol, and Artificial Intelligence classes.
