A campus digital service needs review before the next improvement cycle. Student teams act as reviewers who collect proof, interpret the finding, and write a decision note for a service owner.
Classroom flow
- Frame the case: define the service, user, expected outcome, and risk.
- Capture evidence: collect screenshots, response data, packet traces, decision logs, rubric notes, or model-evaluation records.
- Interpret carefully: explain what the evidence proves and what remains uncertain.
- Recommend one action: propose a guardrail, monitoring step, review checkpoint, or service improvement.
- Verify the next step: define how the class would know whether the action worked.
Student deliverable
Students submit a one-page evidence note with:
- service or case reviewed,
- observed artifact,
- interpretation,
- risk or limitation,
- recommended next action,
- owner or stakeholder,
- and next verification step.
Assessment rubric
- 2 points: case is clear and relevant.
- 2 points: evidence is specific and observable.
- 2 points: interpretation follows from the evidence.
- 2 points: recommendation is practical.
- 2 points: limitation and next verification step are included.
